SMITH, SAMUEL S., 82, of Jeffersontown, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009. He was a member of Highland Park First Baptist Church, a World War II Army veteran, and retired from Dupont Corp. He was preceded in death by his son, Stuart Ray Smith. Survived by his loving wife, Mary Carolyn Smith; one son, Ronald Maloney Sr.; three daughters , Linda Gail Bezdek, Rebecca Lynn Smith and Debra Cowles; and four grandchildren. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Highland Park First Baptist Church, 7321 Billtown Road. Burial in Munfordville Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday at Foreman's, 10600 Taylorsville Road, Jeffersontown. Expressions of sympathy to his church.
